Devoted followers of the actress are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.
