Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.
