The winter transfer market proves to be a time of significant rumour and possible major moves. Numerous notable players are being linked with transfers away from their present teams. Here is a look at a selection of the key names who are poised to be changing clubs in January.

A. Semenyo

Despite Ghana's failure to reach the AFCON, which has kept the forward in contention, it appears an important move is imminent. This 25-year-old has a contract with a substantial buy-out clause active for a two-week window in early January. Recent reports indicate the Premier League champions have emerged as his signature. Former interested parties like Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have moved on to other targets, leaving teams like Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late move.

M. Guéhi

This England defender has continued to excel for Palace despite a summer move to Anfield falling through. As his deal due to run out in the summer, this represents the club's final chance to secure a transfer fee for their skipper. A host of elite clubs, including Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, reportedly be interested. However, a winter departure remains difficult, especially given the manager's dependence on the player.

B. Johnson

This Welsh forward has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Tottenham this campaign. Despite being the side's top scorer last season, he has started only a handful of Premier League games. It is understood the London outfit would be willing to consider a sale for the right valuation, thought to be in the around forty million pounds. Bournemouth appear to be at the front of the queue, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also showing an interest.

This Portuguese midfielder could be set for a return to the English top flight after a spell in Saudi Arabia. The veteran Germany goalkeeper is now as the third option at Barcelona following the coach Hansi Flick. After lost his place and undergone an operation, a January departure seems increasingly likely. Villa were initially linked as a possible suitor, but that option now appears unlikely. Instead, interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are thought to be expressing curiosity in the keeper.

The teenager is heavily expected to make a big-money move this month. Newcastle reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing stiff rivalry from Real Madrid for a deal priced at approximately twenty-two million pounds.
