David Walliams

Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
