Despite embarking on their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS ought to be sufficient to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
