In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave.
